Previously Owned Can Be Beautiful
Our laptops are, in a lot of ways, better than new. Many laptops have upgraded memory, upsized SSDs, and addon features that were never present in the original. And our software package is amazing.
Keeping the things that we use everyday, untarnished, can be difficult. Urlaptop doesn’t have an anti-wrinkling creme that will undo the slight ding or scratch that coincide with daily use.
But we do have a process.
Sustainable Electronics Recycling International (SERI) have developed a framework for evaluating electronic equipment (previously used laptops). Urlaptop is using these guidelines to assess laptop condition.
After all electronic testing has been completed, each laptop is physically inspected:
• All screws and fasteners are accounted.
• Hinge tolerances are checked.
• Any loose, damaged, or unsightly case parts are fixed or replaced.
• Scratch(s) and small dent(s) are resolved.
• Illegible or glossy keycaps are replaced.
• All non-standard labels and label residue are removed.
• Laptop are air dusted and, in a two part process, sanitized and buffed.
